Finals and Audience feedback

We gathered some students to see what they thought of the video and asked them some questions. We recorded the questions asked and the answers we received.

We each asked the 6 questions on they thought of the final music video. Below show the questions we ask
.What were your thoughts on the video?
.How can we improve?
.Do you understand the storyline?
.Do you recognise any of the places featured?
.What artists does it remind you of?
.What genre do you think it falls into?

These questions and answers were crucial to our video as we followed the theme of other similar artists it was crucial that the final piece we created would work and fit well into a generic piece of work similar to the artists/storyline we researched and create. The results we received from the feedback ment we created a piece of work of which fell into the acoustic/indie/folk genre and matched similar artists of which we are really happy with.

After some final adjustments to the music video and with the help of our audience feedback we had a finished and improved music video.

Here is a link to the final music video

Editing the music video

From inspirations such as Ben Howard and James Morrison and from looking into so much research into their music videos we had a clear idea of what we wnted out music video to look like.
As the song is an indie acoustic track we decided to show the artist playing their guitar to the track.
As we didnt have the actual artists with us we used a friend of ours to pretend to look as if they were playing the guitar and lip sync the words.

When it came to editing the video we could see that it wasnt in sync and some parts didnt look right so we recorded some parts again and this made a big difference to the final clip.

Now we had the lip syncing and guitar playing nearly perfect we added clips of a girl (Tilly) to our music video.

The lyrics also match the shots for instance when the word 'sun' is mentioned a shot of the sun comes up, another when the word 'you' in mentioned Tilly then appears. This was inspired by Ben Howards video 'Only Love'

Filming Dates and Information

We plan to take trips out around Bristol and hopefully to London to film our music video.
With artists like Ben Howard and Tom Odell we were able to gather ideas and inspirations from their posters and videos of which we kept a similar theme of which we can use as inspiration to create ours.

Here below are the dates of which we plan to film our music video and what and where we will be filming.

Some dates not all of our group were able to make such as myself not being able to make the London trip but as a group we worked around this and we were all there for most of these 4 days.
